Madrid in the fall is stunning! The colors turn extra bright and the weather drastically cools down from the blazing hot summer. That said, there are numerous spots to snap some photos around the city to capture the beauty of the autumn season. Here are the best fall photo spots in Madrid.

Parque El Capricho, one of the best fall photo spot in Madrid

This park is located outside the city center, closer to the airport, and next to Juan Carlos I park. It was built in the 18th century and is perfectly manicured. There are even bunkers you can visit from the Spanish civil war, free of charge.

The autumn colors are in full bloom from October to the beginning of December (maybe the end of November) and offer visitors a great backdrop.

One thing I love about Madrid is that you experience all four seasons (almost to an extreme!). It’s super cold in the winter and blazing hot in the summer time. Spring and fall are beautiful happy mediums.

The Sabatini Gardens, another top fall photo spot in Madrid

These gardens are just behind the royal palace and are perfect to take a stroll and some photos. You’ll find a lot of tourists and locals alike here as these gardens are beautiful and well kept.

These photos were taken during my first few months living in Madrid and they are still some of my favorites two years later! If you have time to explore more of the city, check out my post on what to do in a week in Madrid

In the fall and spring, there are is a beautiful flower display out in front of the gateway that is optimal for a photoshoot. Be prepared to come early, especially on the weekends, since many people want to stop here for photos!

Although travel is increasingly restricted nowadays, there is always something to explore right in your backyard. I’m ecstatic I get to call this city my second home (home away from home really) and that I got to explore the best fall photo spots in Madrid!

Enjoy the fall and incoming winter wherever you are in the world 🙂
